John was born in Indiana and grew up in Miami, Florida. John has a varied career. He is a certified Clown, having attended clown college; a recognized cake decorator through Wilton’s Classes; a trainer of exotic animals; and worked on and off the set with many people from Hollywood…just to name a few.
John has a bachelor’s degree from Florida Christian College and has been in ministry since 1996. He is the co-founder of Phatrok’s Bean Krib, a mobile coffee house that traveled throughout the state of Florida serving coffee and drama and comedy to the youth in the state. He has traveled throughout most of the U.S.; has traveled and served others in Mexico twice; London twice; Haiti three times; Villefranche {Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice} France, Civitavecchia {Rome} Italy, Piraeus {Athens} Greece, Malta, Palermo, and Zimbabwe.
John is the Senior Minister at Huntsville Christian Church in Huntsville AL, Chaplain for the Harvest Volunteer fire department, and for radio station WAY-FM in Huntsville.
He has been the President of Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes since its inception in 2014. He believes that the solution to the world’s problems is contained within ordinary people, but the legal hassles and hurdles often stop them from even taking the first step to make their dream real. That’s why he and his wife, Mitzi, have encouraged Dylan every step of the way on this journey to help improve the quality of life for those with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
He is inspired by Dylan’s compassion for other and by his focus to never let T1D get in the way of anything he sets out to do.
Lillian is a native Alabamian who retired after nearly 40 years of federal government service, with most of that time working as a Supervisory Financial Analyst. She is now an independent business owner in eCommerce where she mentors business teams and teaches them how to establish income producing assets.
Lillian serves on the board of directors for DCubed (Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes), volunteers with various organizations such as her church, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Toastmasters. She travels to visit her three angelic grandchildren whenever possible.
Most of her time is spent working for DCubed. DCubed is a nonprofit organization that partners with the parents of children who have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
and want to buy a Diabetic Alert Dog (D.A.D) to help their children live a better life. As treasurer of DCubed, she is focused on fund raising and education about Type 1 Diabetes.
Lillian is a member of Toastmasters International having joined in April 1998 when she lived in Ohio. She served in district leadership there, moved to Virginia in 2003 and served in leadership in two districts there.
Lillian moved to Huntsville in 2011 and joined Redstone Toastmasters. She now serves as a mentor to various members and leaders in Districts 27 and 29 which encompasses Northern Virginia, Southern D.C., and Southern Maryland and mentors members and leaders in District 77 which encompasses Alabama, the Panhandle of Florida, and Southeastern Mississippi.
Lillian began speaking professionally at 9 years old, and has presented workshops and seminars to small and large audiences in various states across the U.S. She says she never met a microphone she didn't like.
Antwoin Davis resides in Huntsville, Alabama, where he is deeply engaged in community development and leadership initiatives. He serves as the Vice President Public Relations for the Redstone Toastmasters Club, where he creates communication plans, handles media interactions, and runs campaigns to improve the club's image and reach. Antwoin is also a member of the Master Gardeners of North Alabama Club, a certified Master Gardener, and an active volunteer at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens, contributing his expertise and passion for environmental stewardship.
Professionally, Antwoin is a highly skilled IT Specialist at the Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC), bringing extensive expertise in full stack development, data warehouse architecture, and data analysis. Throughout his tenure at LDAC, he has received several awards recognizing his exceptional contributions, including designing and implementing robust software solutions, optimizing data pipelines, and delivering actionable insights to drive innovation and support strategic decision-making.
Antwoin excels at creating intuitive, responsive user interfaces using Angular and other modern frameworks. His dedication to combining technical precision with creative problem-solving ensures the delivery of scalable, user-focused solutions that meet organizational needs and exceed expectations.
Antwoin earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Cherry Howell is a marketing and networking Guru who loves to connect people and help them grow their business. She has over 15 years’ experience growing companies from the health and wellness market, to an HVAC company here in Huntsville. She grew the employee status from 5 employees to 13 employees and handled calculating their payroll each week. She is the current Ambassador for Max Health off Whitesburg Drive, a chiropractic office, where Dr. Vinny Cuviello and his wife, Dr. Chrisavi Cuviello practice.
Cherry has 8 cousins who are chiropractors, so she fully believes in holistic health and wellness.
Cherry’s passion is to help educate people on Neuropathy in the Huntsville community, who suffer from pain and numbness in their feet or hands, or balance issues, due to diabetes, chemotherapy etc. Which is why she loves to host seminars and lunch-and-learns at restaurants, Senior Centers, or Senior Living Communities each month. She is also very excited and ready for the challenge to help educate, grow, and develop awareness for Dylan’s Dogs for Diabetes, and the true importance of the fund raising for the dog training and need for these children of diabetes who need an alert dog.
Before this, she worked in banking and finance for over 15 years after winning a scholarship to Samford University for Banking and Accounting. Most recognized locally was AmSouth Bank and Redstone Federal Credit Union, both of which she enjoyed working for greatly.
Cherry was Ambassador for the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador for BNI (Business Networking International) Northern Alabama Region, and a Chapter Launch Director Consultant for BNI Alabama for 2 years, when they won BNI #1 In the Region (Northern Alabama) out of the whole USA in 2022, and she still continues to educate and recruit and mentor new members into BNI Alabama as a Visitor Host Coordinator, and a 6 -year member of the Gateway Chapter of BNI in Huntsville, AL. Cherry won BNI Alabama Member of the Year in January 2020.
She is active in supporting women for the Women In Business Tennessee Valley Business Network, and luncheon each month, where she serves on the leadership team. Also, she is very active in Caring Connections and Lunch Bunch for the health and wellness industries each month, and the South Huntsville Main Business Association.
Cherry resides in Madison, Alabama, and moved here from Scottsboro in 2013. She graduated high school at Cherry Creek High in Denver, Colorado, but calls Alabama home since she grew up water-skiing most of her life on the lake in Scottsboro. Cherry loves spending her time with family and friends, but mostly her 2 nieces when she can, and watching them sing solos in church.
Leonard Adams has been both a noncommissioned officer and a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army. As an enlisted member of the Armed Forces, he served as a Combat Medic and as a Mental Health Counselor. As a Mental Health Counselor, he performed individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, hospice counseling, and conducted Anger Management classes. After completing his degree in Chemistry (with a focus on Biochemistry), he became a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives Officer.
After serving in the Army, Leonard worked as a counselor for the Department of Corrections in Tennessee, working in a hospital prison, a classification prison, and on Death Row. From there, he became an instructor at the Tennessee Correction Academy, and went on to become Assistant Director of Education of all of the State of Tennessee’s prisons.
Upon moving to Alabama, he began work as a defense contractor, then became a civil servant, which is his current employment.
Besides working for the federal government, Leonard is also a fitness instructor, teaching Les Mills Body Pump™ and Les Mills Body Combat™ at Phaze 3 Fitness in Madison, Alabama; he currently holds the office of President for Redstone Toastmasters; he performs with a popular local band named Juice; and he is the author of Things I Wish My Father Had Told Me, a mentoring guide for those who have no one whom they feel comfortable asking questions.
Shirley Mitcham Scott grew up in Huntington Beach, CA and moved to Huntsville, AL in 1987 where she spent her last year of high school at Grissom. She attended the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa for 4 years. After a few courses at Calhoun Community College, she then transferred to the University of North Alabama where she obtained her degrees in Professional Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a Professional Geography degree. After some field work in Columbus GA at the former Army Base Ft. Benning she started work at Intergraph Services Company. After a buy out it is now Hexagon US Federal, where she has worked for 26 years doing various jobs as a cartographer/image analyst/engineer. Shirley has a soft spot for animals and nature. She loves hiking, camping and being near water. She has supported DCubed for a few years and was excited to be a part of the organization. She looks forward to serving on the board and expanding the reaches of Dcubed to the west coast where she grew up.
Steven Levy is the President of SEL & Associates. He started this business in 2008. SEL & Associates helps business owners develop and achieve their goals. He accomplishes this by providing practical advice that works. Clients have asked for his help in putting together business plans, growing sales, and profits, improving cash flow, dealing with employee issues, and developing an exit strategy.
He has a BS degree in Industrial Technology from Lowell Technological Institute (Lowell Massachusetts) and an MBA from Bryant College (Smithfield Rhode Island). He received an accreditation from the Institute of Independent business in 2007.
Prior to starting his business, he worked for 2 large corporations, Texas Instruments (8 years) and then Copperweld Corporation (20 years). He held a variety of positions in manufacturing, business analysis, sales and marketing, and business unit management. For the last 12 of his 20 years at Copperweld Corporation, he held senior level management positions, 5 years as VP Marketing and sales, and 7 years as VP and General Manger. As VP and General Manager he was responsible for a business unit with annual sales of over $150 million, 3 factory locations (2 in the US and 1 in the United Kingdom), over 200 employees, and did business in over 60 countries.
Kristi Krieger is a Leidos Vice President Program Integration Aerospace Systems Business Area for the Defense Systems Sector. As an Operations executive she has responsibility for business operations oversight for cutting edge programs in areas such as hypersonics, advanced materials, commercial space, threats exploitation and spectrum warfare, cyber resiliency and IT, modeling and simulation, high speed weapons, stand-off attack weapons and artificial intelligence. She ensures contracts, HR, facilities, risk management, procurement, subcontracts, quality, security, and IT support are synchronized and coordinated to effectively support programs as they move from prototyping to programs of record.
Prior to her current role, Kristi was the Dynetics Group Programs Director, where she helped support the delivery of corporate commitments through predictable portfolio performance and risk management. Kristi joined the Dynetics Group in January 2021 as the Dynetics Group Chief of Staff. As the Chief of Staff, she was responsible for ensuring success in all areas of the Group’s daily business rhythms, working behind the scenes to mediate disputes, finding solutions to problems and dealing with issues, before they are brought to the Group President.
Prior to joining the Dynetics Group she was the Defense Group Chief of Staff working at the Leidos Corporate Headquarters. Kristi has served in several different roles including Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, Business Development/Capture Management, Solution Architect and Project Lead for several programs over her 16-year career with the company.
Kristi has supported two international opportunities within Leidos in the UK and Israel. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from Iowa State University. In addition, Kristi is an active member of the Leidos’ Women’s Network ERG and supports several non-profits in Huntsville, AL aligned with serving underprivileged females in the community (AUM Foundation and WEDC).
Monica Tucker joined Leidos/Dynetics in August 2020 as a Senior Principal Manufacturing Engineer. She has worked several projects in the three years with Leidos/Dynetics starting with the proposal on the Human Landing System, working on the Lunar Terrain Vehicle along with docking system and currently works as Supplier Program Manager on the MACH-TB platform.
Prior to joining Leidos, she worked for Boeing on the Space Launch System as a materials and process engineer. Monica loves to take on challenges and find solutions in and out of the box. Her skills include organization, communication, and problem resolution. She has used her skills in several non-profit organization in Toastmasters, National Management Association, Alzheimer’s Association and Church activities. She believes that no challenge is too big to take on with the right team.
As a member of Toastmasters, she was elected as the District 77 Director for the 2021-2022 Toastmaster Year. District 77 includes the entire state of Alabama, the panhandle of Florida, and southeastern Mississippi. She lead a team of 30+ volunteers to execute District business.
Each year she leads a team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s as part of the annual fundraiser.
Monica also has grown her small business as a holistic health coach to continue to help others overcome challenges with all areas of their life (wellness, spiritual and mental). She founded Better Life 2 Live to give others the tools she found missing after she was hit by a race car in 2001. Monica has a goal to help others before they are at the end of their rope with education, coaching and support.
